The Features of the Aesthetic Education of Pupils of Primary School in Ukraine at the Second Half of XIX – Beginning of XX Age

Abstract

The research deals with learning the features of the aesthetic education of pupils of primary school in Ukraine at the second half of XIX – beginning of XX age. The materials of the research are the theoretical points of view of teachers, scientists about the aesthetic education of pupils, its impact on the overall development of pupils, peculiarities of the syllabi different types of primary schools in the study period. The scientific methods of analysis, synthesis, description and comparison have been used in order to single out the types of activities of the pupils, which had influence on their aesthetic development in primary schools in Ukraine at the second half of XIX – beginning of XX age. The conclusions of the article make it possible to determine the types of educational and extracurricular lessons, which contributed to pupil’s development and their aesthetic education. Among them are lessons of music and drawing, labor training, the lessons of manual labor, exercises, excursions and extracurricular reading. But the most important forms of the aesthetic education of primary schools at the second half of XIX – beginning of XX age were the drawing lessons, church singing and the lessons of labor studies and the lessons of manual labor in trade schools.
