THE MAIN PREREQUISITES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF MODELS OF HERD BEHAVIOUR IN THE EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL ENVIRONMENT OF ENTERPRISES

Abstract

The article deals with the construction of basic models of herd behaviour in the external and internal environment of the enterprise. Studying the motives of economically active agents while providing decision-making processes in the market environment and developing appropriate economic and mathematical models is an urgent task of research in the management of an enterprise in conditions of mass behaviour of agents. It is analysed the main problems of applying standard enterprise management models to account for the appearance of herd behaviour of agents. The main difficulties in applying standard enterprise management models to account for the appearance of agent herd behaviour are associated with attempts to create a universal, often extremely complex model that will be applicable for all subject areas, for all research objects and for all cases. It is proposed a conceptual basis for constructing such models in the external and internal environment of the enterprise. The model describes the decision making by the representatives of the population taking into account a possible set of states. The probability of some action by a subject of a population or his stay in a certain state depends on what actions other subjects of a given population have taken or in what states they are staying. It is dealt with the models of states and models of actions under conditions of homogeneous and heterogeneous populations and also models based on authority and propensity to herd behaviour. Using the proposed models allows you to streamline the modelling process and reduce the time required to create models for specific applications in the internal and external environment of the enterprise.
