THE MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE FARM-TEXTS IN MEDICINES INSTRUCTIONS AND ITS REPRODUCTION IN UKRAINIAN TRANSLATIONS

Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the features ofthe medical terminology of the English language farm-texts (source text)and its reproduction in Ukrainian translations. The problem of the adequate and equivalent translation of the instructions is related to the reproduction of terminological vocabulary, formulas, abbreviations, collocations, etc. The problem gets special lexical and structural featureswhere the main goal is the accuracy and the clarity for doctors, pharmacists and patients. The results of the analysis asforthecharacteristicsofthe Instructionshave shown pharm-terms, chemical terms, biology terms, abbreviations, eponyms, commonly used words, "false friends", antonymous pairs, etc. The absence of the words-realities, idioms, chancelleries, clichés, phraseologisms, which may be available in the medical language in general, indicates that the medical instructions for drugs are characterized primarily by precision and unambiguousness. The article contains examples of grammar, lexical and syntax transformations in translations into Ukrainian, the calque as a third part.Prefixes have some semantic functions;productive for the medical terminology of medical instructions are suffixes. The structure of the English language instructions differs from the Ukrainian ones.
