The role of intestinal microbiota in the development of metabolic disorders
Journal Title: Сучасна гастроентерологія - Year 2018, Vol 0, Issue 2
Abstract
It is known that ahuman intestine contains more than 100 trillion microbial cells, which play an important role in the regulation of human metabolism through their symbiotic interactions with the host. The modified intestinal microbial ecosystems are associated with an increase in metabolic and immune disorders. The molecular interactions connecting the intestinal microbiota with the energy metabolism of the host, accumulation of lipids and immunityhave been specified. However, the exact mechanisms that link specific changes in the composition of the intestinal microbiota to the development of obesity and metabolic diseases in humans remain unclear due to the complex etiology of these pathologies. The main functions of the intestinal microbiota in patients with metabolic disorders have been examined, Anexperience of the use of probiotic Probioks has been presented. This preparation has a complex effect on the macroorganism due to the increased colonization resistance of the intestine, reduc the severity of inflammatory processes, improving the state of the general somatic state, which expands its clinical application for patients with various manifestations of metabolic syndrome and bowel dysfunction.
