The role of progressive conservatism in the formation of the state thinking in Ukraine at the present stage

Abstract
In the article the author researches the phenomena of the progressive conservatism in its relation to the specifics and tasks of the statist thinking of the Ukrainian elite irrespectively to the concrete figures and political forces. It talks about the “normative-protective” potential of natio-creative thinking of statesman and manager which is realized on the basis of the Ukrainian conservative ideology, on the national authenticorganic principles of the Ukrainian people being, and also stands out the “objectivism”, holism, smart-conservatism experience and “patriotic pragmatism”. The role of the progressive potential of conservative-statist thinking which must hold the patriotically-minded elite is very hard to overemphasized because the very this potential allows not only to solve the problem of keeping traditions and also grounds the necessity of rooting any innovations.
