THE STATE TRIBUNAL OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND AS QUASI-JUDICIAL POWER BODY

Abstract

The State Tribunal occupies a special place among the constitutional bodies of the Republic of Poland. The State Tribunal and The Constitutional Tribunal form another branch of the judiciary. The jurisdiction of the body is determined. The main functions of the State Tribunal are the decisions on a constitutional and criminal responsibility of the State leaders of the Republic of Poland. The author explains that the State Tribunal’s proceedings fulfill in two instances. The specific characteristics of the both instances are described in the article. The author made a conclusion about the necessity of modifying the ways of formation the State Tribunal the Republic of Poland.
