THE TRANSFORMATION OF GERMAN DEONIMN SPACE

Abstract
The paper focuses on a study of the deonyms in the modern German-language media discourse, which have gained more power. The impact of media discourse on political developments and decision making still has to be fully explored. The goal of this article is to examine the deonym as we will use the term here is a common noun derived from a proper noun, the name of a person. The article reviews a number of works related to this sphere and suggests its own understanding of the question. Based on the material of the political texts from the contemprory German press, the process of deonymization has been discovered. Attention is paid, first of all, to word-formation types of deonymization based on proper names: deonimn derivation, deonimn contamination, deonimn conversion, deonimn composition. Using deonyms, discourse participants (political journalists) try to offer their audience new meaning nuances, to present political reality in a specific way. This article investigates the transformation of German deonimn space: new words are derived from the names of German politicians, associated with their particular activity or referred to their special features. Deonyms expresses negative connotation and take the form of verbs, nouns, adjectives and adverbs. In general, we concentrated on the aspects of translation of the deonyms that can course a misunderstanding and as a result even a distortion of the information. The deonyms require a recipient of additional extra linguistic knowledge of national socio-culturally and politically specificity.
