THE UNREALITY AS A MAIN STRATEGY OF THE CHRONOTOPE OF THE «CHIMERIC» NOVEL

Abstract
This paper investigates the unreality as a main strategy of the chronotope of the «chimeric» novel. The basic con-cept we operate with during the analysis of genre and stylistic peculiarities of the ‘chimeric’ novel is chronotope. M. Bakhtin considered that the chronotope was the essential interrelation of ‘temporal and spatial relations, artistically developed in literature’. Herewith the researcher insisted upon the leading beginning of the chronotope being time. The topicality of a work is conditioned by the fact that the problem of conformity chronotope and genre in history and criti-cism of literature, which in the modern theoretic literature got the name «chimeric», is not studied enough. The term «irreal time-space» shows the specificity of the artistic whole Ukrainian chimeric novel, but requires further theoretical understanding. In particular, the contrast between the real and the irreal, which is based on the basis of functional cri-teria. Herewith in sufficiently availability of this connection doesn’t cause any objections. Real time-space is the basis for building plot canvas works, and surreal – the transformation of time and space, according to the author’s concept. Research of chronotope of chimeric novel allows to avoid this innuendo and opens new horizons in studying this lite-rary phenomenon.
