THE VECTOR OF SPIRITUAL TRANSFORMATION: DEVELOPMENT OF SPIRITUAL POTENTIAL OF LYCEUM STUDENTS IN TEACHING AND EDUCATIONAL PROCESS

Abstract

In the article the problem of development of the lyceum students' intellectual potentiality in teaching and educational process is considered, concepts "intellectual potential" and "intellectual potentiality" of personality are characterized. Essential contradictions between the purposes of modern school and challenges in XXI century force to revise formation priorities and to transform the vector of intellectual development of students. Research showed that condition of intellectual potential of our society is evaluated as stagnant. Serious modern problem becomes preservation of the person's intellectual and psychological integrity. Need for a new awareness of person’s inherent value is actualized through the prism of research of his intellectual potential and intellectual potentiality. Concepts potential and potentiality, intellectual potential and person's intellectual potentiality are determined. On the basis of the research the author offers "Diary of intellectual potential and tests of the intellectual potentiality of personality" as one of the tools of the basis for development of intellectual potentiality and receipt of practical results. In "Diary" wide range of opportunities for development of intellectual potentiality in the form of "intellectual tests" and practices of the demonstration of its own intellectual potentiality is offered. "Intellectual tests", as new turn of teaching and educational process, open opportunity of realization of lyceum student’s intellectual potential in actual practice of self-determination and initiative to solve problems and task according to student’s intellectual potential. Results of research expand opportunities of teaching and educational work in general educational establishments.
