Trawy w zbiorowiskach siedlisk ruderalnych Wyżyny Śląskiej
Journal Title: Łąkarstwo w Polsce - Year 2016, Vol 19, Issue
Abstract
The aim of research is to sum up the results of research, which have been conducted on ruderal habitats of the Silesian Uplands since 2000; in particular to show the share of grasses in the floristic composition and structure of the distinguished vegetation units and the influence of some grasses on the diversity of vegetation of those habitats.DCA analysis with square root transformation was used in order to determine the direction and range of vegetation variability. The quantitative share of grass species in recorded vegetation units was shown in a shortened synoptic table. Moreover, the interspecific associations between some grass species and other species in the dataset were calculated using fidelity measure of association. In order to find relations between abundance of selected grass species and community characteristics (diversity of patches, evenness, number and percentage cover of species representing different ecological groups) Spearman rank coefficient was used.54 mostly native grass species were found in the recorded plant communities. Calamagrostis epigejos, Elymus repens, Poa compressa, Lolium perenne, Arrhenatherum elatius, Dactylis glomerata, Festuca rubra, Poa pratensis and P. palustris were the most frequently foundin the vegetation units. With the increase in abundance of some grass species (e.g. Calamagrostis epigejos, Lolium perenne) species diversity and number and bundance of the character species of chosen vegetation units decreased. Most grass species do not create their own communities but they are frequent components of the communities recorded on ruderal habitats. From 6 (Festuca ovina-Silene vulgaris community, Chamaenerion palustre community) to 17 (Tussilago farfara community, Potentilletum anserinae community) grass species occurred with frequency more than 10% in examined vegetation units.
