Ukraine's innovation prospects in the context of optimizing the legal protection of intellectual property

Abstract
The article covers the role of innovation processes in optimizing the legal protection of intellectual property in Ukraine. Five vectors of improving the national system of intellectual property protection in the context of Ukraine’s integration into the European community are considered. The regulatory framework in this field and the modern strategy for the innovative development of Ukrainian society are presented. Attention is paid to gaps in legislation in the field of intellectual property and to the codification of national legislation in this field. The issues of improving citizens' legal culture as a means of optimizing the intellectual property protection in the country are also considered. The need for further strengthening the legal culture for the protection of intellectual property rights and for raising the general level of training qualified specialists in these issues is argued.
