Understanding the "split" in the sociological literature
Journal Title: Соціологія: теорія, методи, маркетинг - Year 2017, Vol 20, Issue 1
Abstract
The author makes an attempt to solve two interrelated urgent problems: the problem of methodology of the study of contemporary social conflict and social split problems. In this case the author means that the conceptualization of the phenomenon of the split and creation, at least partially, of the theory of categorical apparatus, may represent a tool for solving problems of methodology of the study of contemporary conflicts. More specifically, from the point of view of the authors, in a modern society based on various social groups that do not represent a classical classes, do not have a party and ideological unity, do not possess the qualities of constancy and identity sustainability and identification, can occur "new social movements" with no anti-system character, which represent a specific form of "new social conflict" and appear in the society as a split of non-class character.
