UNITED NATIONS ELECTORAL ASSISTANCE ACTIVITIES

Abstract
The article focuses on the formation and development of activities of the United Nations and the institutions which operate under its aegis, having competence to assist during the holding of elections in states, their powers in this area. The reasons and procedure for providing assistance during the elections are analyzed; attention is focused on the types of assistance provided in such cases. Relevant conclusions are made.
