УРОВЕНЬ НИКОТИНА И КОТИНИНА В СЛЮНЕ ПАСИВНЫХ КУРИЛЬЩИКОВ Г. ТБИЛИСИ

Abstract
The aim of the work is quantitatively and qualitatively analysis of nicotine and cotinine (the major proximate metabolite of nicotine) in Saliva non-smoking home/non-smoking workplace subjects living in town Tbilisi, by using gas hromatography. Saliva samples were collected in centrifuge tube, transferred to a refrigerator (4,0°C), then allowed to warm (18,0°C temperature), for 60,0 minutes and immediately analysed. Nicotine and cotinine are extracted from biological specimens by solid phase extraction. The primary relationship between serum and saliva continine concentration is not studied. The results indicated that cotinine concentration in saliva is individual variabl and may by connected with the character family smoking behavior. The author believes, that despite the number of problems in health system, the obtained data is very important from the point of ecological assessment of the environment and sensitivity to the components of tobacco smoke.
