Abstract
The article deals with the peculiarities of the formation and legal consolidation of the regulatory function of law in the legislation of the Romano-Germanic legal family. The role of regulatory function in the mechanism of European Union law and its regulatory influence on the main spheres of public life of EU member states is determined.
