VERBALIZATION OF THE CHORONYM UKRAINE IN THE LANGUAGE AND NATIONAL WORLDVIEW OF DMYTRO DONTSOV

Abstract
The subject of the research is the choronym Ukraine on the background of the living conditions of that time, which is possible thanks to the method of linguistic-historical interpretation. The purpose is to study the aspects of verbalization of the choronym Ukraine in the «Literary Essays» by Dmytro Dontsov. The influence of the choronym Ukraine on the formation of national consciousness of Ukrainians and the establishment of a state-created worldview is analysed in this article. It is shown how a thinker is promoting a Ukrainian-centric worldview, studying the heroic past, cultivating a strong personality (in contrast to the cult of mass and universal equality). It was found out that the analysed name is regularly reproducible and determinative for the formation of texts canvas. The lexical-semantic loading of the choronym Ukraine in the language and national worldview of Dmytro Dontsov was revealed. It is proved that the main meaning of the lexeme Ukraine in the texts of «Literary Essays» is the formation of an independent state. Based on the given name the individual style of a publicist is traced. In the analysed works, the choronym Ukraine is regularly reproducible and determinative for the formation of texts canvas. The semantic invariant dominant of this name is the formation of an independent state. Optional semes for the demonstration of the choronym Ukraine are: the glorification of the heroic past of the Ukrainian people, the reproduction of the historical period, the description of the life of writers and politicians, the peculiarities of the place of certain actions, the display of a member of the «leading stratum» and the praises of a strong Cossack woman. In a journalistic style, the choronym Ukraine characterizes the creative style of the author, emotionally nourishes the text and forms an ideological whole. Consequently, the national-language worldview of Dmytro Dontsov is informationally multi-aspect, intellectually meaningful and politically motivated. Prospects for further research in this area are in the study of the choronym Ukraine in the works of the writers of the journal «Visnyk» and in the consideration of the toponymic field of works by Dmytro Dontsov.
