Abstract
Tomasz Figlus ‘OLĘDRY’ VILLAGES IN CENTRAL POLAND. NOTES ON THE TOPIC OF MORPHOGENETIC DIFFERENTIATION ON THE BACKGROUND OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF SETTLEMENT The article presents the results of research relating to morphogenetic issues of ‘Olędry’ settlement in Central Poland. Considerations focuses on explaining the determinants of the formation and morphological development of the ‘Olędry’ villages in the study area. In this context the comparative analysis of spatial layouts of villages was carried out in the relation to differentiation of features of habitat and field system. The article contains an attempt of morphogenetic typology of ‘Olędry’ villages in Central Poland. The study also includes the results of research concerning morphological changes of rural settlement and analysis of the state of preservation of the layouts of old ‘Olędry’ villages in the area of former Łęczyca and Sieradz Province.
