INDIVIDUAL ASPECTS IN PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF LANGUAGE TEACHERS: INNOVATIVE EXPERIENCE OF THE UK

Abstract
The article considers individual aspects in professional training of future language teachers based on innovative experience of the UK. The research findings by Ukrainian scholars on general aspects in professional training of language teachers at higher education institutions in the UK have been generalized. The development and conceptual framework of English studies at the universities in the UK have been justified. The important components of the Subject Benchmark Statement for English have been presented. The relevant recommendations for the national system of language teachers’ professional training based on positive aspects of the UK experience have been outlined.
