LANGUAGE PLAY ON NEWS SITES AS A WAY OF MANIPULATION OF READER’S CONSCIOUSNESS

Abstract
The object of research in the article is specifics of use of language play on news sites (on the most popular news portals in Runet and Ukrnet: Lenta.ru, Korrespondent.net, RIA Novosti, Tsenzor.NET, RosBusinessConsulting). The purpose of the article is to show how the language play is used in news announcements, and how it affects the minds of readers. Methodological basis of studying the mechanisms of this phenomenon are psychological principles of comprehension, neurolinguistic specificity of activation of the relevant brain’s zones, features of Internet news communication, specifics of the communication code functioning. Scientific innovation is that for the first time particular language play on the Internet is analyzed using multidisciplinary approach including the latest achievements of psycholinguistics, neuroscience and neurolinguistics. Language play is defined as a game meening and sense of speech units. In the article examples of inefficient use of language play are identified, the common mistakes producers of news texts make and their intentions are accented. The conclusions: language play often means a manipulation. Results of the study can be used within Internet linguistics, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, medialinguistics and in the training of journalists and experts in information security.
