PHONETIC AND ORTHOEPIC COMPETENCE OF FUTURE PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS, WHICH IS THE BASIC OF THEIR PEDAGOGICAL MASTERY

Abstract
The article focuses on the formation of phonetic and orthoepic competence of students, which are the future teachers of primary school; revealed the essence of the concept of phonetic and orthoepic competence; analyzes the views on the problem in modern linguodidactics; motivates the practical value of formation phonetic and orthoepic competence for teachers language personality; outlines the factors that contribute to errors in speech pronouncing of students and pupils in the Prykarpattia region. The purpose of the article is the clarification of the content and structure of the concept «phonetic and orthoepic competence»; the role and place of formation of phonetic andorthoepic competence during the training of primary school teachers as well as the development of their language personality. The author emphasizes that the teachers’ phonetic and orthoepic competence should be seen as socially necessary one, and which not only leads to improving the quality of language education in Ukraine, but also contributes to the Ukrainian’s culture of speech and communication overall. Methodological basis of analysis is a conceptual provision about the relationship of language, speech and thinking; determining their place and role in the development of an individual; concept of building education on the basis of the formation of the national conscious linguistic personality. So, the formation of phonetic and orthoepic competence of students of specialty «Elementary education» takes the top spot in the system of language and general professional training of future elementary school teachers. In university, a student (because of being a future language teacher) should create himself as the linguistic personality; acquire all necessary for language and speech competence; realize the practical value of his/her knowledge and skills, educational and cultural level and successful future professional activity.
