Abstract
The article is dedicated to the crisis of education and its reasons. The current society is facing the problem when education doesn’t keep abreast with the rapidly developing innovations, which leads to the necessity of improving the entire system. New technologies give us access to huge amount of information, but at the same time we observe some difficulties with the adaptation of students to the accelerating rates of the technical and scientific progress. Having analyzed the works of modern and classic scientists, it can be concluded that the aim of new educative methods and technologies is to form a competent, motivated, free, quickly trained and creative personality . One of the greatest French educators, philosopher and journalist Alain (Émile-Auguste Chartier) emphasizes the achievement of the goal in the development of self-discipline of the personality , his motivation to studying and self-education
