PROBLEMS OF PRESERVING THE PHYSICAL HEALTH OF A CHILD

Abstract

The article deals with the topical issue of the role of regional studies in forming a child’s health. The authors have considered the measures aimed at preserving and developing pupils’ physical and mental health, as well as promoting healthy lifestyles in modern Ukraine, which are an integral part of the educational process. An attempt to trace the interrelation of regional studies and a child’s health has been made. We have determined some school features that would contribute to important principles of health development. It is known that the health of children and adolescents is influenced by a complex of social, biological and psychological factors. This conclusion of the theory of risk factors enabled to proceed to the concept of health design, which involves interference in its formation to overcome or reduce the factors of risk. One of the important factors of a child’s mental and physical health is tourist and regional studies work at school, which is aimed at the enhancement of physical health and favourable influence on the sphere of senses. The way of successful solution to the problem of a child’s development and health preservation by means of regional studies is analyzed. Nowadays the issue of health is very topical as the increase of material and technical base of the society positively influences the well-being of the population, however, at the same time, the youth do not vividly realize the limits of the allowed choices of way of life, moral ideals and leisure. Educating in youth the motivation for healthy way of life should be provided through the formation in the society and in every individual an appropriate mechanism of health care culture. The article explains the actuality of approaches for the implementation of the country studies principle in education and upbringing at a primary school and confirms that the observance of the country studies principle in the educational sphere of a primary school contributes to the formation of world outlook, culture, intellect, physical and mental capacity for work, progress in studies and quality of knowledge, the development of friendly relationships in the micro- and macrosociety.
