Abstract
In this article, the author examines the relationship between the professional marginality of students and professional deformations. The trends of the level changing of the professional marginality of students were established. The professional marginality of students is determined as condition of non-formation for a certain professional activity, which is reflected in the attitude towards study and the level of academic progress and trends to change professional activity . This characterizes the gap that was formed between the educational and professional spheres. The impact of the state of marginal youth on the preparedness for future professional activities is estimated. The strengthening of professional marginal tendencies becomes a premise for the emotional changes and behavioral reactions of young specialists to the conditions and specificity of professional activities. The necessity of the practical orientation of the educational process in higher educational institutions and the active cooperation of institutions of secondary and higher education in the direction of the vocational guidance of youth in Ukraine is grounded
