Sources of linguistic-cultural motivation of folklore fairy-tales

Abstract

The article analyses the sources of folklore onomasticon formation which took place at different stages of each ethnic group development, its national and cultural traditions and language. Supposition was made that onims like signs of primary (units of language system) and secondary (¿ gurative and symbolic formations) nomination in a fairy-tale space. They have different sources of origin and the unanimity of their birth has not been reached yet. As a result of a long discussion of many representatives of folklore schools: mythological with its two directions, migration, anthropological and ritual-mythological it was determined that sources of fairy-tales plots are hidden 1) date to the mythology, 2) they are borrowings from different cultures of West and East, 3) they have national-cultural origin and the product of national consciousness at different stages of its development, 4) they represent the ritual act and they appear to be the reÀ ection of its actions. They give their preference to the ritual and not to the myth itself. Accordingly, tale onims in folk fairy-tales are motivated by mentional sources and contain information about historical events, ceremonies, traditions, culture, rituals, mythology, plants’ and animals’ world etc. That’s why such classes of onim lexicon as mythonims, toponyms, hydronims, zoonims, anthroponims, etc are used more frequently in fairy-tales and they are both real and invented ones.
