The analysis of existing approaches of games based education

Abstract

Gamification is relatively new topic in the field of technology. Gamified elements implemented to various fields especially in education where gamification can be seen as an effective stimulus for motivation in learning process. However, it is a challenge to create an effective game based learning model, which would engage the learner and satisfy his/her needs. The paper analyses the existing pedagogical, organizational and administrational approaches of games based education and delivers insights on how gamification could be implemented in e-learning. The aim of the article is to present the existing approaches and design of games based education.
