THE NOTION OF VALUE IN PHILOSOPHIC-PSYCHOLOGICAL AND LINGUISTIC ASPECTS

Abstract
The article is devoted to the review of main approaches to the definition of value in humanities and social studies, such as philosophy, psychology and linguistics. The research singles out characteristic features of value that distinguish it from the related notion of evaluation. The article explains the essence of value which lies in importance of an object for a subject and marks out main components of evaluation which is perceived as the basis for value formation. It is stated in the article that that the realization of the value aspect of culture in language is possible due to the evaluative component, which exists in the structure of the meaning of lexical units, and it is suggested to view paremies as lexical units with the most evaluative meaning.
