Abstract

It is argued in this article, which the Constitutional Charter of 1988 states unequivocally, even if not directly express the right to education and technological training. It is proposed to make a brief assessment of the realization of this right twenty years after the enactment of the Federal Constitution and to point out situations and conditions, which remain as major problems and challenges to implement this rule.

Abstract

This article presents a brief conceptual review about competences in the strategic scope. Therefore, it emphasizes the organizational competences having as base the Resource Based View, the Dynamic Capacities, the Core Competences and, finally, launch reflections about sustainability and the necessity to combine economic and social factors in the development of a sustainable competitive advantage. There are two key points that emerged from the presented conceptual review: (1) The idea that organization owns about their resources and strategy and how much these two factors are integrated; (2) The necessity of organizations to expand their business, considering the saturation of the existing markets. This expansion raisin for a revision about sustainability concept and the inclusion of the Base of the Pyramid population in the strategic agenda.

Abstract

The author deals with school management and with the importance of the education administrator to obtain quality in teaching. It adds contributions of authors as Peter Senge and Michael Fullan to discuss organizational and school leadership aspects. It mentions Fritjof, Capra, Edgar Morin and Pérez Gómez, amongst others, when it analyses the necessity of a systemic view to perceive the different dimensions which interfere in a quality management. It proposes the main dimensions to manage that and the profile required for an education administrator of an educational institution.

Abstract

This article is a summary of the dissertation and Masters of systematic research on popular festivals taking place in Sierra gaúcha. The issue is part of the line of research Tourism, Culture and Environment Program Master of Tourism at the University of Caxias do Sul The study refers to the Meeting of Italian traditions - Enter, festival that takes place every two years in New Milano , District of Farroupilha / RS. The research conducted is a case study of historical data that rescued the party, which in 2008 came to the 13th edition. The article describes, analyzes and interprets the party as a whole and emphasizes the collection of information “in situ” made in editions of 2006 and 2008.

Abstract

Issuing to validade the database created for the research we will have with industries alocated in the national territory, we have sorted out two companies for the evaluation “in loco” with the objective of obtaining a direction towards the method adopted to be applied to the chosen universe. The objective is to validade the database observing if points which portrait the reality were portraited as well as the identification of the variables considered by the industries in the adequation processes of their programmes of environmental management. Our research was created to investigate relevant points which are detached in the strategic analysis - SWOT analysis- as the industries in the paper and celulose sector have suffered several criticisms from the consumer marked regarding social and ethical responsibility as well as factors related to the impact generated to the environment by the process of transformation by the sector.The analysis of Strong Points, Weak Points, Possibilities and Threats is the basis for the creation of strategic plans.

Abstract

The profile reportages from the Vogue magazine are this paper focus, which wants to describe what styles the magazine institutes as being and living models of the contemporaneous subject. The sampling gathered 12 magazines, of the period between January and December 2006. There were observed 102 reportages of the subgenus journalistic profile, with the objective of answering what models that the magazine Vogue builds, taking as reference categories (Innovative, Traditional and Vanguard lifestyles) preexisting and exteriors to journalism, linked to the theoretical reference of the survey, to guide the search of the main senses represented on the materials. The work is inserted on the constructionist perspective, which considers the power of journalism in the reality construction. The Analysis of the Speech serves as a methodological support. The life styles found in the magazine are represented by the discursive brands that allow showing them and demonstrating the frequency they are repeated by Vogue.

Abstract

The growth in use of the Internet, primarily in developed countries, and thereafter throughout the world, has mud to a new form of communication between businesses and consumers: the brand of virtual communities. The emergence of these communities is a relevant and current issue, on which recent studies have not yet responded to an important question: is best for their community organizations create a brand or let them flow from the initiative of consumers? In this work it is proposed a theoretical model that, after discussion by the community of marketing will, through an empirical test, evaluate and compare the participation of consumers in different types of virtual communities of brand - managed by the company and managed by the consumer - and analyze the results of behavioral marketing of such participation. For both, used a method of exploratory research / qualitative as a way to format the study and develop the theoretical model proposed and the chances of mediation and moderation pertaining to it. The proposed model presents significant contributions to the state of the art in terms of the formulation of new constructs and their relationships, describing it is still the potential managerial implications arising.

Abstract

This article analyses, the importance in changing the behavior for the success of the tourist management aiming for a sustainable strategy. Understanding the concept of sustainable tourist development has been the great challenge for many scholars and here it is analyzed the organizational behavior and the matters of attitude of the subjects in the construction of the organizational culture and the importance in the search of a sustainable business administration. At the first moment, a reference is made to the concepts of sustainable tourism, to the concept of attitude for the need of change of behavior in the sustainable development and also, to the concept of organizational culture. Next, this paper analyses forms that can help to build an appropriate environment to the individuals’ growth that are part of it.

Abstract

El turismo es una actividad creciente que genera uno de los más importantes caudales de inversiones y trasvasamiento de dinero. Los estudios sobre sus impactos son variados, y en la búsqueda de opciones contributivas al bienestar, que a la vez mitiguen o eviten los impactos negativos, se ha recurrido en los últimos años del siglo XX y primeros del actual, a dos medios: la Planificación Estratégica y la Agenda XXI. Las racionalidades de ambas son casi las mismas: 1) concepción holística o sistémica; 2) sustentabilidad y sostenibilidad; 3) multidisciplinariedad o abordaje desde variados saberes, y 4) adecuada contextualización de la actividad y efectos. El documento aborda estos temas y analiza las causas por las cuales por las cuales la aplicación real y práctica de la Planificación Estratégica y las Agendas XXI han encontrado escollos que han disminuido su potencialidad. Estos escollos se visualizan más en las formas en que se han aplicado que en los principios que las rigen. La falta de resultados acordes a las expectativas, o el alargamiento de los plazos, ha llevado a que se cuestione la metodología. Consideramos que a esta situación se llega por una suerte de ritualismo mágico, donde los especialistas en planificación abordan los temas más apegados a las fórmulas y conjuros que a la comprensión de las fuerzas operantes en los territorios. Teorías ritualizadas, demoras en los desarrollos no siempre comprensibles, gobiernos que no terminan de aplicar los resultados de los planes e inversores poderosos externos al medio, crean un ambiente poco propicio para que el hombre común le asigne a los sistemas de pensar el futuro una buena cuota de credibilidad.

Abstract

The present study proposes a discussion regarding the innovating movements in education challenged by the daily teaching practice demands. It was organized based on the author studies in two completed and two on-going researches. The researches reveal the possibilities of a new perspective about the school, in a sense that people could understand it as a place of teacher development and knowledge creation – potentially changing the hegemonic social relationships, looking for the emancipation of the excluded and secularly marginalized population. It also points to building a school seen as a possible alternative facing the “crisis of - human life meanings, people, institutions, communities’ relationships” (Rios, 2002 a, p.39), which takes place on the contemporaneousness. Distant from a romanticized conception of education, the author looks for elements that can contribute to the comprehension of innovating movements perceived as paradigmatic ruptures. It concludes that these phenomena assume a pedagogical and a new logic multiplier character, capable of causing deep changes not only on teaching practices, but also on the communities involved in such processes.

Abstract

En el actual contexto, la sociedad es individualista, inmediatista, consumista, globalizada y empobrecida en sus valores éticos, donde existe un Estado bastante complejo y debilitado y una educación subordinada a los intereses del capital. El mismo hace distintas exigencias a la educación con el único objetivo de alcanzar una mayor productividad y mejores ganancias. Así, en el ámbito de la economía y de la sociedad el individuo pierde constantemente el espacio para la efi cacia, la ganancia y el consumo. Por eso es muy importante considerar el papel de la ética y de la ciencia económica frente este escenario. Porque para que una sociedad se mantenga y prospere es imprescindible una educación ética y no unicamente técnica, como exige el sistema capitalista. En el curso de la modernidad tenemos el poder del dinero sobreponiéndose a esta educación virtuosa.

Abstract

Este texto pretende demostrar cuánto los artefactos culturales postmodernos como los blogs pueden ser usados para producir alfabetización científi ca. El texto parte de la experiencia del autor cuya alfabetización fue en una pizarra y se hizo bloguista. Con el propósito de responder a tres interrogantes: ¿Qué escribo? ¿Cómo escribo? y ¿Por qué escribo? el autor analiza el placer de la escritura y busca alternativas a la difi cultad de escribir textos académicos. El texto se refi ere a una Escuela [aquí considerada como cualquier establecimiento (de Educación Básica o de Enseñanza Superior)] que en la modernidad era diseminadora del conocimiento para transformarse en una receptora de conocimiento y cuestiona un vacío o abandono de la Escuela: la producción del conocimiento. Se alude a los problemas del “amateurismo” (afi cionados o principiantes) en los escritos internéticos. Se hace referencia a los signifi cados psicológicos acerca del escribir de sí mismo. Incluye además una comparación de las formas más tradicionales de escribir, como los diarios, con aquellas más modernas como los blogs.

Abstract

Th is paper presents the possibility for Distance Education to create opportunities to increase Virtual Learning Communities. From the discussion about the theory that provides the basis for the development of a diff erentiated educational paradigm, along with and the report of the experience that a group of students and teachers experienced in the virtual learning environment in the course of specialization in distance education off ered by SENAC EAD-RS, one has the opportunity to fi nd out a way of learning that can lead to the building of a Virtual Learning Community, based on honesty, correspondence, relevance, respect, openness and autonomy.

Abstract

Th e information about fashion tendency moves in some directions to reach the fi nal consumer. Retail fashion stores are part of a fashion chain based on the ephemerality of the contemporary society. Moreover, they are prepared for the climax and for the decline of products usage, as well as to the desire of new models and color of consumers. Researches of new fashion tendencies in order to fi nd what consumers desire is part of the marketing process, which is established in two axes that are going to be considered in this work: information and consumption. Assuming that fashion establishments associated to fashion retail stores are fragmented, and that updated information is an index of success of those establishments, this study questions the fashion information directions, related to buying and selling goods strategies through research.

Abstract

Este artículo sintetiza las principales refl exiones derivadas de la investigación, “Informática Educativa y El Proceso Motivacional de los Adolescentes”, realizada por investigadores del Grupo de Investigación, “Procesos Motivacionales en Contextos Educativos”, sobre los elementos que interfi eren en los procesos motivacionales de los adolescentes, relacionándolos con las potencialidades ofrecidas por el uso de las tecnologías de la información y comunicación (TICs) en ambientes escolares, específi - camente, la utilización del Ordenador. La investigación tiene un abordaje cualitativo, descriptivo, a través de testimonios de 45 estudiantes adolescentes con edades entre 12 y 16 años. La muestra fue compuesta por 15 estudiantes de institución privada, 15 de la red municipal de educación de Porto Alegre y 15 de la rede estadual de educación de Río Grande del Sur. Los resultados apuntan que uno de los motivos que lleva a los estudiantes a ir a la escuela es la búsqueda por socialización, característica evidente en la construcción de la identidad en la etapa de la adolescencia. Se verifi có también, que en las escuelas públicas existe un nivel de motivación más acentuado por parte de los estudiantes, manifestado por la valorización del ordenador en la escuela y en la perspectiva de un futuro de vida mejor. Otro aspecto revelado en la investigación se refi ere a que los adolescentes estarían más motivados en las tareas escolares si los profesores realizasen más actividades con el uso de los ordenadores. También podemos concluir que las diferencias motivacionales de los estudiantes, están directamente relacionadas con la situación social encontrada en las escuelas.
